"Love to Live"  is a psychological approach to st.John's Gospel, Fr.George loved Jesus very much and often liked to imagine how it must have been to have lived in the times of Jesus and by his side. Here is an intuitive account of how a man close to Jesus experienced Jesus.
(my guess is that this is likely to be very close to truth as it actually happened)

  An excerpt from the book.....

God always is and is aware of himself. God's self-awareness is the word(I-Thou) The word(I-Thou) has no beginning,no middle ,no end. It means that the fullness of self-awareness is found in God alone. God is awareness itself and is the source of life and joy.He pervades all creation as life,light and truth.The world is transparent to him but he is not immediately seen by the world.
             You meet God in the depth of your own awareness.by getting in touch with your inner world, you become authentic and share his joy.This is the first step towards inner freedom.
Lying and pretending prevent you from coming close to God.when liars and pretenders are common authentic people are respected.Truth shines against the background of falsehood.
     An authentic person is one who is true to self.(in touch with one's inner world).
   Those in authority were proud of being cautious but in reality they were hiding their fear of losing their status in society and their authority over the people and they opposed any change in the established order of things.
 I remember vividly how Jesus received us .We were shy to get near him, though we wanted to go with him.Jesus knew it and he stopped on his way turned towards us ,looked into our eyes and asked,"what do you want?" Jesus invited us to go with him and to spend the day with him.
  As Jesus spoke to Simon,love passed from Jesus to Simon.If only you would hear that word! that word affirms what you are ,the clay on which God has put his seal of love.
  Jesus loved people and watched them closely.He saw something unique in each one of us and welcomed each one of us in a special way. He said something very personal to each one of us.He touched our hearts and won our affection.
  Indeed God's power was already manifest in his words which came out from the depth of his conviction.our hopes rose high and our hearts throbbed with great expectations for the future.
  "every marriage is a man and a woman coming together to live in close intimate relationship with each other-the beginning of a new freedom,freedom to wait for God's wonderful ways in their lives.
" In the temple the spontaneous anger of Jesus ,in bold contrast to the compulsive and cowardly behaviour of the temple authorities.In course of years they had come to interpret religious truths to suit their convenience.However simple people were not learned in the temple traditions could see through their subtle dishonesty. they appreciated the bold action of Jesus, they trusted in jesus leadership as they saw that Jesus was straight and could not be tricked.
     Nicodemus,was a scripture scholar of social influence and political status but Nicodemus unlike many others believed that God manifested his power through Jesus. But he did not openly follow Jesus for he was afraid of the temple jews. so he approached Jesus by night so that nobody would notice him.
 but at the very start Jesus knew that Nicodemus made little use  of his own knowledge and insight and was inclined to depend too much on tradition and authority. Jesus wanted to help him think so jesus spoke to him in riddles and symbols.Jesus knew that riddles and symbols would make him search for their meaning and ultimately make him follow his own inner light. that would be the way to understand the deeper and prophetic meaning meaning of the scriptures.

For Jesus these words indicated a

a total change of heart
trust in God's goodness
openness to life and God
sharing in other people's experience of God.
