what is the importance of deep sleep in energizing?
the human being has three distinctly different levels -the physical,the emotional,and the mental.
the physical level energy needs mainly rest and sleep to recharge.this recharging takes place during sleep from cosmic energy. why does this cosmic energy exchange take place mainly in sleep? this is because when awake the human being has a strong feeling of separateness from the rest of the universe due to the idea of individual identity. this idea of "I-ness" results in a restriction of flow of energy.hence sleep is necassary to rejuvenate.

the emotional level thrives on emotional kind of energy that flows in from outside sympathetic sources
. so a person who understands one's feelings is necessary to receive emotional energy.
( eg energy from the sympathy of the mother and emotional impressions of being loved ,wanted, etc)ideally this comes from the mother and has a selfless quality. The mother is naturally sympathetic to her child. and the child is naturally sensitive to the mother's emotions.hence emotional energy comes for the child comes from the mother.That's probably why the mother-child image is iconic of Love.
It may come from an adult friend, or partner or one's spouse who is also one's sexual mate.being related to an understanding person rejuvenates the emotional level. that's probably why people rush to saints and good doctors, for sympathetic understanding. a good friend also can serve the purpose. anybody can provide this needed energy if we express feelings and allow them to perceive our feeling as well as possible.this requires some luck in finding a sympathetic listener and willingness to open our hearts to some friends.
In Transactional analysis this source of emotional energy that usually comes from the other person is called strokes.When Two responsible adults are intimate they are mutually understanding and sympathetic in their intimacy and enjoy a rewarding experience --a rare and special form of strokes
what is the meaning of our life?
Mental energy comes through exchange of "Ideas" and meaning. If an idea is stimulating or if a meaning of deep significance is found it can generate a great deal of enthusiasm or energy for action.
victor Frankl in his book "Man's search for Meaning" says if a man has a "why" to live no matter how difficult the situation he will succeed in finding a "how" to live.
being related to the world opens the doors of energy and enthusiasm.
